Community Care & Support Assistant - Taunton Deane Way Ahead are always looking for the special people we need to provide the care and support within the community. This position works within a team of 4 Community Care & Support Assistants with allocated shifts over a 4 week rolling pattern. The shifts are predominately working in the mornings, the busiest time for Way Ahead, and also accommodate a split shift two days a week. Over the four weeks you will average 34 hours a week and will receive two consecutive days off as well as every other weekend off. Working in partnership with Somerset Social Services Way Ahead is contracted to deliver care & support throughout Taunton Deane and Wellington so you must have your own motorised transport. Duties can be anything from helping Service Users up and out of bed, washing & dressing, making them a meal or some light domestic duties. Full training, including NVQ programs that are delivered by Way Ahead's own training divison Step Ahead Training and you would be expect you to progress through your NVQ level 2 and 3 in Care.
