A "Family" Run Business

Pam started Way Ahead over 12 years ago with Carol, Pam's daughter, as the company secretary. Carol originally started Way Ahead's own training company, Step Ahead Training Centre Ltd, back in 1999 but now works predominately in the Finance department for the Way Ahead Inc group.

Richard, Pam's son, joined the family business in 1999 to work in Step Ahead but slowly moved over to Way Ahead as the contracts and work load grew to concentrate on recruitment and staff retention.

Les Taylor & Di Storey

Di (on the right) join Way Ahead in 1997 as a Community Care & Support Assistant. Working her way up Di has been a Team Leader, Induction Trainer, a Care Co-ordinator and now works for Step Ahead as an NVQ Assessor

Les, Di's daughter, joined Way Ahead in 1998 also as a Community Care & Support Assistant. Les also now works within Step Ahead as an NVQ Assessor.
Both continue to care in the community at evenings and weekends.

Pauline & Dawn Knight

Dawn (on the right) joined Way Ahead in 2003 as a Community Care & Support Assistant but has worked up to predominately delivering Floating Support to Service Users throughout Taunton Deane

Pauline, Dawn's sister, joined Way Ahead in 2004 also as a Community Care & Support Assistant. She now also works on our Waking Nights Service

Louise Ward & Jane Leat

Jane (on the right) joined Way Ahead in 2001. Jane as continues to work within the community and is also the "Face of Way Ahead"

Louise joined Way Ahead in 2005 and like her sister Jane, works within the community.

Maggie started working for Way Ahead back in 2004 as a community Care & Support Assistant but has now progressed through company, gain her NVQ Level 3 and is now working on Way Ahead's Initial Response Team.

Maggie's daughter, Laura, join Way Ahead in 2007 after after talking to her mother and friends about the the work they did. Laura works within Kilkenny Court Extra Care Housing Scheme.
