Friday 7^th April saw the Care Focus Care Awards in Taunton. Way Ahead Care were delighted to have 2 nominations on the evening. The awards were presented at a Gala Dinner at the Wellsprings Leisure Centre in Taunton.

Way Ahead Care member of staff Bridget Saunderson was nominated for the ‘Unsung Hero Award’; and our End of Life Community Care Team for the ‘End of Life Award’.

Our End of Life Team was pipped to the post on the night. However Bridget was announced the joint winner in her category, along with Fred Snelling from Alltogether Care. The judges could not split the difference between their nominations.

Once again it was fantastic evening celebrating the work of staff within social care across Somerset.

The Care Focus Care Awards

This was the 10^th year Care Focus have been running this important annual event and was attended by record numbers. Awards are open to all individuals involved in care, support, health and housing either employed or voluntary.
