Supported Living
Run as a separate service headed by a Support Manage Way Ahead Supported Living is a services that is designed to provide flexible support for people with learning difficulties or mental health problems.
Rather than having scheduled and structured care our Support Workers arrange with the Service Users when they will require some support. This can be anything from helping with financial matters, filling in benefit forms, helping to access courses or accompanying them on leisure activities.
Supporting living is designed to be a "short term" service structured in a way that will reduce as and when the service user gains further independence and can manage on their own.
During the time of the service Way Ahead's support staff constantly assess the service users progress and adjust their support requirement in accordance to their support needs.
