Health Assured Employee Assistance Programme

Although much of our focus is helping with the UK effort to prevent further spread of COVID-19 at the moment, it is still just as important to recognise the staff working in social care and their importance.

Working in social care is not easy, neither is life sometimes, but to help with this Way Ahead Care has invested in an Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) to provide additional support for our staff. This EAP is another way that Way Ahead Care can support our staff in their work (and personal) life.

Health Assured provides Employee Assistance Programmes (EAP) to over 11 million individuals in the UK. They help people and their families with short and long term challenges that might arise in their lives. This can include assistance to overcome physical, mental, social and financial challenges. The program offers:

  • 24/7, 365 helpline
  • Management support line & counselling
  • Critical incident advice and telephone support
  • Financial advice
  • Medical information line
  • Structured telephone counselling sessions
  • An online wellbeing portal

It is all completely free, independent and confidential and available to all employees of Way Ahead Care. This includes a mobile app ‘Health e-Hub’
