We are looking to recruit a full time Home Care Coordinator to work in our office based in the Comeytrowe area of Taunton.
As a Care Coordinator your role predominately consists of managing the staffing rota for the current and forth-coming weeks, making any necessary changes due to staff delays or absenteeism, service user cancellations or commencement of new orders.
While on duty you will respond to telephone calls from both staff and service users who will have a variety of queries; these may include medication queries, concern about a service user’s well-being or non-response.
The successful candidate will possess excellent organisational and prioritisation skills and the ability to achieve deadlines and maintain attention to detail, in a fast paced environment. You should have a methodical and positive approach to problem solving and a creative and flexible outlook to your working and team aims and objectives.
Hours are predominately Monday to Friday 09:00 to 17:00 with an early shift 1 week in 3 (06:30 to 14:30). On Call duties are required during the week, working from home on a rota basis shared throughout the team.
Whilst previous experience of a Care Co-ordination role is not essential, you should have strong customer service skills, be confident using computer packages, demonstrate a commitment to team working and enjoy a busy and fast paced environment. Experience in social care, specifically home care would be an advantage.
