Support Worker (LD and Mental Health)
Way Ahead Care wishes to recuit a full-time community based Support Worker working with those living with Learning Difficulties and challenges with Mental Health
We provide personalised support and care for individuals with learning disabilities; autism; and other complex condition living in their own homes.
We are looking to employ 1 full time, flexible committed, well-motivated individuals with great communication skills to join our small team. If you think that this is something you would be interested in please apply identifying the skills you have that would best suit this role.
You will deliver home support to Service Users in their own homes within the communities of Taunton Deane and Sedgemoor; typical tasks will include helping people with day to day responsibilities including tenancy related administration and money management. We support individuals to access and attend employment or social activities as well as assistance with medication and other personal care needs.
The successful candidates need to have access to motorised transport and be prepared to travel to the homes of our Service Users within a 20 mile radius of Taunton.
40p per mile is paid for all miles travelled in a car.
Varied shifts 7am -2pm, 5pm-10pm or 8am – 5pm. There may be the need to provide support and care to the users at alternative times or in addition to the on-going package. Any temporary changes to working hours will be negotiated as and when required.
Our hourly rates range from
Weekdays £8.00 – £8.50 per hour
Weekends £9.00 – £9.90 per hour
Our pay rates are determined by qualifications, and experience.
You will be paid for your travelling. This is calculated using the number of miles you are travelling and the national speed limit of 30mph; these hours are paid at £7.50 per hour
