Our 20^th Year Celebrations headed to Lodge Close Extra Care Housing Scheme in Wellington on Friday.

Way Ahead Care began delivering services in Lodge Close in 2004 as part of the awarded contracts the Somerset County Council. As an Extra Care Housing Scheme (ECH) Lodge Close provides accommodation and care provision where needed for the elderly. It has a community room where lots of activities are held for the tenants and a hot meal is also provided each day.

Organised but Way Ahead Care’s Support Manager, Jill Pearson and her staff, the tenants of Lodge Close were treated to a large selection for sandwiches and cakes and took part in both a quiz about the year 1994, and a game of ‘Guess the Carer’; which involved a display of photos of staff in their younger years!

The 20^th Celebration roadshow heads to Hilda Coles ECH in Bridgwater on the 21^st of November.
