Today we see the end of Di Storey’s tenure working in the office for Way Ahead Care.

Di has worked for Way Ahead Care for over 21 years. Starting as a Team Leader providing Home Care in the community. She then worked her way up (and side to side) through the company in numerous roles and locations, holding the positions of Team Leader, Care Co-ordinator, Trainer and Assessor.

For the past 16 years Di has been working within our training department, Step Ahead. Although her title is ‘Trainer and Assessor’, she has been much more than that. Di has been the ‘go to’ for supporting carer’s and managers a like with the ongoing challenges faced in the delivery of social care.

As an ever-present and dependable member of the team, she will be sorely missed in both our operational offices.

Throughout her career Di has always continued to provide care, if only on a very part-time basis. This continues as Di now leaves her role with Step Ahead to provide care and support in Lodge Close Extra Care Housing Scheme.
