You do not need any qualifications to apply for this role, full training will be provided. Although experience is not essential, we do look for individual values and behaviours for this role such as a good pair of eyes, a listening ear and a warm caring nature and motivational attitude.

Location: Taunton & Surrounding areas
Shift Patterns: (8am- 6pm) Full time and part time opportunities are available.
Days: Can be Flexible but all employees must be available to work alternative weekends.
Support Worker Duties Include:
- Companionship, our customers are full of great stories they love a listening ear and being able to relive their memories within their stories. Supporting them with life skills, and to engage in hobbies and provide emotional support.
- Future planning; we encourage all our customers to look at their own future, whether this is supporting to map their care journey with us, or support to gain the best out of their experience. As a support worker you will be supporting and updating care plans tailored to their individual needs and future care.
- Attending appointments and taking the individual into the community. As we go through our care journey, some individuals may need a bit of extra support to attend appointments or manage their appointments, whether this is medical or social, our dedicated support workers will aid in providing high quality support and managing their own lives.
- Budgeting and finance support. This can be confusing for anyone, our support workers can aid in some financial support. This may be advice on managing their own budgets and supporting the individual to be as independent as possible for as long as possible in managing their own finances by providing guidance to them.
- Supporting individuals to local activities, this may be skittles, swimming or even the local shops. Imagine wanting to go to skittles every weekend, but the care journey taken means you need help to get there? Our support workers are fundamental in supporting our individuals to enjoy the things they want to do.
- Help with household domestics, this may be cleaning, tidying or even helping to put up decorations as certain times of year.
- There may be some people that need that extra bit of support for personal care and getting dressed before they wish to go out for their support visits. We can support in starting their day off right for them, providing high quality care, followed by support to access their local communities.
- You may even support in meal preparation, we give full training and guidance on healthy and well balanced diets, and some individuals may just need that bit of extra support to make their homemade meals or making their preferred choices of drinks.
